Reporting to the Manager – Building Operations, we’re looking for a Facilities Coordinator, who will play a role in driving cost-efficient decision-making contributing to the organization’s overall success.
Key Responsibilities:
As our Facilities Coordinator, you’ll play a pivotal role within our Building Operations department. Your responsibilities will include:
- Manage the computerized maintenance management system from receipt of work requests through to completion of task. Complete system administration as required.
- Coordinate Facility and Maintenance requirements, including preventative maintenance and capital project activities. Consult with external vendors and suppliers for quotes and place orders as required.
- Liaise and coordinate all facility maintenance activities with Quality and Operations to ensure compliance while minimizing cost and disruption.
- Consult with Manager-Event Services and Coordinator-Event Services re specific event requirements. Review and execute as per events’ requirement and as outlined in technical riders.
- Schedule and supervise Lead Building Cleaners and Building Cleaners, including handling of disciplinary matters and payroll completion.
- Complete required Building Cleaner quality checks of both facilities.
- Assist with scheduling and payroll completion for Maintenance and Technical staff, including Conversion Crew and Relief Engineers.
Qualifications:
To be part of our management team in this role, you’ll need to the following:
- Degree or three (3) year diploma in a building-oriented discipline such as Construction, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Certified Engineering Technology; or
- Trade certificate and minimum of two (2) years experience in a journeyperson status in a building-oriented discipline such as carpentry, electrical, mechanical, plumbing; or
- A property of facility management designation, or working towards a designation, such as FMA (Facilities Management Administrator).
- Three (3) to five (5) years property management experience with vendor management, administration, and fiscal management responsibilities
- Ability to provide leadership to contracted vendors using effective communication, interpersonal and critical thinking skills
- Use sound judgment to deal with ambiguous complex situations in a professional manner
- Ability to coordinate a high volume of activities thrive in a demanding environment and stay organized
- Ability to remain current on building technology, systems, and equipment
