Christine Koch

Represented by: Self-Represented

For nearly two decades, the main inspiration for Christine Koch and the source of her creative energy has been the natural world, particularly wild environments offering extreme visual drama. The Canadian North is one such environment, created with fire, carved by ice.  Christine’s artistic influences include German Romanticism, Abstract Expressionism, and Earth Art.  The dramatic terrains to which she is drawn — and which, in turn, she draws — are those that, for her, evoke the Sublime.  Never Melting Ice, is a literal translation of an Inuktitut word for “glacier.”
